About This Class

Commercial is a strong style with elements of street and sometimes jazz. It is the name for any dance that is used with commercial music - music from the charts - so it covers a wide range of styles. Originally though Commercial Dance was the name given to the style of ’street jazz’ made popular by LA choreographers in response to hip hop becoming hugely popular, and infusing modern pop music. We offer Commercial classes on a Wednesday evening split into Junior, Inter and Senior classes. Trainers are needed for this class and heels for older students on some occasions. Please see Tammy in our onsite shop, First Gear, for the correct First Stage uniform for Commercial.
