About This Class
Progressing Ballet Technique is an innovative body-conditioning and strengthening program developed by Marie Walton-Mahon for students to understand the depth of training muscle memory in achieving their personal best. One of the important elements used in the PBT method is muscle memory which helps to improve students' understanding of core stability, weight placement and alignment. Each exercise in the PBT program has been developed with care and guidance by Marie Walton-Mahon alongside a team of physiotherapists. PBT is practiced internationally and helps students advance in all dance forms not just ballet. The exercises help core, posture, upper body, turnout, adage, feet and allegro. We offer PBT classes at First Stage for ages 7 years and over. Please see latest timetables for further details. Once you have signed up for this class you will be given an equipment list which will include a Yoga Ball and a small fusion ball.
