About This Class

Students work in groups or individually. The classes introduce many drama skills – from acting and creating scenes to mime, improvisation and verse speaking. The aim is to develop confidence and improve all performance techniques. Classes focus on many drama techniques including diction and vocal projection, spatial awareness, improvisation script reading/creation and role play. All students have the opportunity to perform on stage in our reviews and end of term presentations to parents. Examinations can be taken in Acting. These follow the LAMDA (The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) syllabus which is nationally recognised. Classes are held on a Wednesday and are divided into Juniors, Inters and Seniors. Please check our latest timetable for class times. Private lessons are available upon request. Please check notice boards for latest fees. Please bring a folder to your class for scripts, prose/ poetry and notes. Please see Tammy in our onsite shop, First Gear, for the correct First Stage uniform for this class.
