Students work in groups or individually. The classes introduce many drama skills – from acting and creating scenes to mime, improvisation and verse speaking.
The aim is to develop confidence and improve all performance techniques. Classes focus on many drama techniques including diction and vocal projection, spatial awareness, script reading/creation and role play.
All students have the opportunity to perform on stage in our reviews and end of term presentations to parents.
Examinations can be taken in Acting and Verse Speaking and Prose. These follow the LAMDA (The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) syllabus which is nationally recognised.
Classes are held on a Monday and are divided into Juniors 7-11 years and the senior class 12+ years. Please check latest Timetable for details.
Fees: New starters – £4.25/wk drama for the first next half term. Then half termly payments in advance.
Private lessons are available upon request. Please check notice boards for latest fees.
Uniform: The uniform for this class is a First Stage T-shirt or top with black jazz trousers/leggings.
Footwear is black dance shoes or pumps.
Please bring a folder to your class for scripts, prose/ poetry and notes.
