Stretch and limbering classes are intended to help with general ﬂexibility and strength. Knowledgeable stretching is known to prevent injuries or pain and improve dance Performance.
Our classes start with a cardio warm up and then combine various exercises taught to increase
suppleness, stamina and build core strength and control required for all disciplines of
Techniques include partner assisted stretching, use of ballet barres, stretch bands, yoga
Blocks, stretch bars, foot stretchers and weights. First Stage have fully qualified Acrobatics Arts Teachers and the stretch and strengthening elements of this syllabus are also taught in our flexibility/limbering classes.
First Stage uniform is black leotard and footless tights. Please check timetables for latest class times. We have 2 stretch classes during the week at our studios. One is for our Inters and Seniors and the other is our Mini Flex/stretch class for our 4 and over students.
